Jobber is the field service tool we recommend for most Canadian trades: it covers requests, quotes, scheduling, invoicing, and payments in one place, and its tax groups handle provinces with separate GST and PST. Keep in mind that it bills in US dollars and that the QuickBooks sync and automated reminders start on the Connect plan, not the entry plan.
Jobber is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, and is built for home service and trades businesses: landscaping, cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and similar work. This review focuses on what matters if you run one of those businesses in Canada: what it actually costs when you pay from Canada, how it handles sales tax, whether its payments work here, and whether it talks to your books.
How we evaluated
This is a research-based review. We did not use Jobber hands-on. Everything below comes from Jobber's public pricing page, feature pages, and help centre articles, plus Canada Revenue Agency and provincial tax sources, all checked in September 2026.
Jobber's pricing page changes what it shows depending on the team size and billing option you pick, so we checked it in a browser with each setting rather than relying on a summary. Prices below are regular monthly list prices (no commitment) in USD. Where we mention a promotion, we label it.
Pricing in Canada
Jobber costs USD $49/month for Core, USD $139/month for Connect, and USD $199/month for Grow, each with one user on monthly billing. Every extra user is USD $29/month, and there is no Canadian dollar price list.
| Feature | Core | Connect | Grow | Plus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly price, 1 user (USD) | $49 | $139 | $199 | Not offered |
| Monthly price, 5 users (USD) | Not offered | $199 | $299 | $499 |
| Extra user (USD/month) | $29 | $29 | $29 | $29 |

Jobber's pricing tooltip defines a user as anyone who accesses your account to view or manage the team's schedule, and says you can add users for USD $29/month each. When you select a team of 2 to 5 people, the page switches to bundles that include 5 users: Connect at USD $199/month, Grow at USD $299/month, and Plus at USD $499/month. Plus is not offered for a single user and goes through Jobber's sales team.
There are three billing options. Monthly with no commitment can be cancelled any time and ends at the end of the billing period. Monthly with a one-year commitment has a 12-month minimum term. Annual is paid up front and the initial payment is non-refundable if you cancel mid-term, though you keep access until the term ends.
The commitment options cost less per month. For one user, the regular prices the page lists once any introductory discount ends are USD $39 (Core), $119 (Connect), and $169 (Grow) a month on the one-year commitment, and USD $29, $99, and $149 a month on annual prepaid billing. Jobber's page often advertises limited-time discounts for new customers on top of these. We quote regular prices only, so check the page for any current offer.
Quoting and client approval
Every Jobber plan includes quoting, and clients approve quotes online through the client hub. Higher plans add automation and upsell tools on top.
On Core you can create and send quotes, including from the mobile app. Connect adds automated quote follow-ups, auto-drafted quotes, and high-value quote alerts, according to Jobber's feature comparison. Grow adds advanced quote customization (photos and reviews) and optional add-ons and markups, which let a client pick extras such as a premium material or an add-on service.
If most of your revenue comes from winning bids (landscaping installs, renovations, exterior cleaning), the Grow features are the ones that change how quotes are presented. If you mostly do service calls at set rates, Core or Connect quoting covers the basics.
Scheduling and dispatch
Scheduling is included on every plan, while routing, GPS tracking, and crew scheduling are tiered. You can book and schedule jobs on Core, but routing and GPS tracking start on Connect.
Core includes online booking and scheduling. Connect adds routing and GPS tracking, automated client notifications (such as appointment reminders), checklists for standardizing job documentation, and time tracking. Grow adds "Find a Time" scheduling help, job costing, and automatic time tracking. Crew scheduling, where you coordinate multiple people on the same job, is listed only on Plus.
That last point matters for growing companies. If you regularly send two- or three-person crews to jobs, check whether Grow's scheduling is enough for you during the trial before assuming you need Plus.
The client hub
The client hub is included on every plan and is your customers' self-serve portal. Jobber describes it as the place where clients can "request work, approve quotes, review scheduled jobs, make payments, and refer their friends."
For a small business, this replaces a lot of back-and-forth phone calls. Clients can see past and upcoming appointments, pay invoices and deposits online, and add a tip when paying by card. Requests submitted through custom forms on your website or social media land in Jobber's request tracker, which is also on every plan.
Invoicing with GST, HST, and PST
Jobber handles Canadian sales tax through tax rates and tax groups. A tax group combines two or more rates, and Jobber's help centre says each rate appears individually on the client's quote or invoice.
That matters most outside the single-HST provinces. According to the CRA, Ontario charges 13% HST, Nova Scotia 14%, and New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island 15%. In those provinces one rate per invoice is enough. British Columbia, by contrast, charges 5% GST plus PST, which the BC government says is generally 7%. Saskatchewan and Manitoba also have separate provincial sales taxes, and Quebec has QST on top of GST. With a tax group, a BC client sees GST and PST as two separate lines, which is how your bookkeeper will want to track them. Our GST, HST, and PST rates by province guide and sales tax calculator cover every province.
You can set tax at three levels:
- Account default: one default rate or group applied to new client properties.
- Client property: a rate assigned to a specific property overrides the default for all quotes and invoices at that address, which helps if you work across a provincial border.
- Per quote or invoice: you can change the rate while editing a document.
You can also enter your tax ID name and number (for example, your GST/HST number) in company settings, and Jobber prints it on every invoice automatically. Other invoicing features on every plan include progress invoicing, and Connect adds automatic payments and automated invoice follow-ups.
Jobber Payments in Canada
Jobber Payments works in Canada. Jobber's help centre says it is available in the UK, US, and Canada, and that payment integrations support accounts in Canada in CAD.
Here is what Jobber documents for Canadian accounts:
- Online card payments: clients pay invoices and deposits by card through the client hub, and can add a tip.
- Payouts: payments go to your bank on a two-business-day rolling window. Payments accepted during the initial period after you start take five business days to deposit.
- Instant payouts: available to US and Canadian users who meet eligibility criteria, for an additional 1% fee deducted from the payout.
- Tap to Pay: available in Canada in the Jobber mobile app on all plans, with Jobber Payments turned on. It accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Jobber's help centre says Interac is not supported in Canada, and that transactions over $250 may exceed Tap limits and show a limit notice.
Jobber's pricing page lists card, Tap to Pay, and bank payment rates, but it does not say whether those rates apply to Canadian accounts, and it labels bank payments as ACH, which is a US system. The help centre directs you to your account settings to see your rates. We could not find a published Canadian rate, so confirm yours during the trial before you compare Jobber Payments with a separate processor. If you want to compare dedicated processors, see our Square vs Moneris vs Helcim comparison.
QuickBooks Online Canada and accounting sync
Jobber's QuickBooks Online sync is documented as available in Canada and the United States. It is included on Connect, Grow, and Plus, but not on Core.
According to Jobber's help centre, the sync sends clients, products and services, invoices, payments, refunds, tips, approved timesheets, and payouts to QuickBooks Online, and it can sync backdated transactions. Jobber also notes that one QuickBooks company connects to one Jobber account, and the initial import of clients and products from QuickBooks is a one-time, one-way step. Jobber's help article does not explain how Canadian tax codes map between the two, so test a few invoices with GST and PST in your own QuickBooks file during the trial.
Jobber also syncs with Xero from the Connect plan. It is not accounting software itself, so you still need books. Our best accounting software in Canada review covers the options.
Mobile app
Jobber's mobile app is included on every plan and lets field staff quote, schedule, invoice, and track time from the job site.
Jobber's feature page says you can create and send quotes from your phone, schedule new requests from the field, view visits on a map, complete job forms, upload photos, clock in and out, and text customers. When you mark a job complete, Jobber generates an invoice ready to send. The app is available in Spanish for team members, but not for administrators or account owners. We did not find French-language support documented on Jobber's pricing or app pages, which matters if your crew or customers are in Quebec.
Marketing add-ons and AI tools
Jobber sells three paid add-ons on its pricing page: Marketing Suite at USD $99/month, Receptionist (an AI phone and text answering service) at USD $29/month, and Pipeline (a lead and quote tracking view) at USD $49/month. All three are included on the Plus plan.
Marketing Suite includes a marketing plan, email campaigns, Facebook and Instagram posting, review requests, and referral tracking. Jobber says nothing is published under your business name until you approve it. A basic Jobber website and Google Business Profile optimization are included with all plans at no extra cost.
Free trial and support
Jobber offers a 14-day free trial with access to Grow plan features and no credit card required. If the trial ends before you add billing details, Jobber says nothing is deleted and you can reactivate from the billing page.
You can upgrade your plan any time and downgrade at the end of your billing cycle. Every plan lists 1-on-1 product support, and Jobber's contact page lists support hours of Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET and Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET. Connect includes two onboarding sessions and Grow includes three, according to the pricing page.
What we like and what to know
Jobber's strengths for Canadian businesses are its tax groups, a Canadian-documented QuickBooks sync, and payments that support CAD. Keep in mind that it bills in USD, that key automation starts on Connect, and that Canadian processing rates are not published.

Jobber
Who Jobber is for (and when another tool fits better)
Jobber fits Canadian service businesses that schedule visits and bill clients directly, from solo operators to crews of a dozen or more. If you mostly need construction compliance or accounting, a specialized tool fits better.
Good fit:
- Solo operators who want quotes, scheduling, and online payments in one app. Core at USD $49/month covers this, but budget for Connect (USD $139/month) if you want QuickBooks sync and automated reminders.
- Landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and cleaning companies with repeat visits and quote-driven sales, where Grow's optional line items and two-way texting apply.
- Businesses in BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or Quebec that need two sales taxes shown separately on each invoice.
- Small crews using QuickBooks Online who want invoices and payments to flow into their books.
Another tool may fit better if:
- You want CAD billing. Jobber prices only in USD.
- You mostly need construction compliance, such as Ontario proper invoices, holdbacks, lien deadlines, or T5018 slips. Jobber does not document these features. See our T5018 guide and Ontario holdback and prompt payment guide.
- You rarely schedule anything and just need invoices and books. Accounting software with invoicing may cost less; see our best invoicing software for Canadian contractors.
- Your team works in French. Confirm language support during the trial first.
Alternatives
The closest alternative is Housecall Pro, which we compare in detail in Jobber vs Housecall Pro in Canada. It includes five users on its mid tier, applies one tax rate per invoice, and documents some of its payment features as not offered in Canada.
We also compare Jobber with FreshBooks and GetMarkup in GetMarkup vs Jobber vs FreshBooks; GetMarkup is built by Methodical Studio, the publisher of NorthVetted, and that comparison is labelled accordingly.
If you want invoicing plus bookkeeping rather than scheduling, see our FreshBooks vs QuickBooks comparison.
Our verdict
4.5Jobber is the field service tool we recommend for most Canadian trades and home service businesses. Its documented features line up with how Canadians invoice: tax groups that show GST and PST separately, a QuickBooks Online sync that works in Canada, and payments that support CAD. Solo operators can start on Core, but most businesses will want Connect for the QuickBooks sync and automated reminders, and quote-driven trades will get more from Grow. Keep in mind that you pay in USD, that Canadian processing rates are shown in your account rather than published, and that Tap to Pay takes cards and mobile wallets rather than Interac. Use the 14-day trial with a real job, including a taxed invoice synced to QuickBooks, before you commit.
